An entire channel branding package was created for Astro Citra, which is a brand new movie channel offered by Astro Network.

The package involves a harmonious blend of live-action and 3D graphics. We created five idents each reflecting different movie genres offered by the channel. The package also includes a series of time belts and generic elements.

We were involved directly from the initial idea and concept, channel logo identity, storyboarding, designing, directing, editing, animation, compositing and final colour grading.

Advanced 3D-tracking techniques were engaged to enable graphic elements co-exist with the film footages and also to match dynamic camera movements. The technique allows us to create the illusion of shifting perspectives which forms the Astro Citra logo successfully.

Other than that, we also created explosions, set extensions, matte paintings and flying boxes for the channel time belts / slot IDs, all fitting in nicely with the help of HDRI technology and gathering lighting references during filming.

A set of generic graphic elements consisting of lower thirds, bumpers, now next nexters, etc. were created based on the Astro Citra identity.
